1. Acceptance and Scope
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and ZoneVerse regarding the Veilborn Chronicles portal, game account, in-world accessory (HUD), virtual shop, and related services (the "Service"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Where mandatory consumer protection law in your country — including the consumer rights of the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom — grants you more favourable rights, those rights prevail over any conflicting clauses set out below.
2. Description of the Service
Veilborn Chronicles is a persistent RPG accessible via web browser and in the virtual world: character progression, automated Chronicles, Essence PvP mechanics, Covens, optional ZoneCoin commerce, and Veil War seasons. Game logic is validated on the server; the portal and in-world accessory display authorised state and cannot unilaterally alter progress.
ZoneVerse may introduce, modify, or withdraw features, seasons, and content to maintain fairness, security, and the viability of the Service, with notice where a change is substantial.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent required in your jurisdiction if higher. You are responsible for safeguarding your game account credentials and in-world accessory linking codes. Unless expressly authorised by staff, one main character per linked avatar on the grid is permitted.
You must provide accurate registration details and notify us without delay of any unauthorised access or suspected misuse of your account.
4. Virtual Goods and ZoneCoin
Certain items may be purchased with ZoneCoin (ZC), optional virtual currency of the grid. ZC purchases grant a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use benefits or cosmetic elements within Veilborn; they do not confer ownership of underlying software or real-world property.
Prices, delivery, and refunds are governed by the product description at the time of purchase and applicable consumer law, including rules on digital content. Exploiting payment errors or chargeback fraud may result in suspension and reversal of virtual goods.
5. Acceptable Use
You must comply with the Game Rules, these Terms, and the terms of use of the virtual world grid on which you play. Prohibited conduct includes: cheating, using unauthorised automated tools, harassing other players, inciting hatred, trading accounts for real money without authorisation, circumventing server validations, and attempting to access others' data.
ZoneVerse may investigate suspicious conduct and take proportionate measures to protect the integrity of the Service and the community.
6. Intellectual Property
ZoneVerse retains all intellectual and industrial property rights in Veilborn Chronicles, its mechanics, official texts, designs, and software. Roleplay texts and character names you create remain yours, but you grant ZoneVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process them to the extent necessary to operate the Service.
You may not use ZoneVerse trademarks, lineage names, or assets outside the Service without written authorisation.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZoneVerse shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, lost opportunities, or loss of virtual progress due to scheduled maintenance, connectivity failures, or interruptions on third-party grids.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or for non-waivable consumer rights under European Union, United Kingdom, or applicable national law.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you breach these Terms, the Game Rules, or applicable grid regulations. Where reasonable, we will inform you of the reason and, where applicable, any period to remedy the breach.
Upon termination, you may lose access to virtual progress, unredeemed ZoneCoin, or account-linked benefits, without prejudice to consumer rights you may have regarding refunds.
9. Consumer Rights and Withdrawal
If you act as a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, mandatory provisions of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Rights Directive, and related rules on digital content and services apply alongside these Terms.
When purchasing digital content that begins immediately, you may be required to expressly acknowledge the loss of your right of withdrawal once performance has started, as permitted by law. Refunds for lack of conformity will be handled in accordance with applicable legislation and the product description at the time of purchase.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with virtual worlds, payment processors, or other external providers. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. ZoneVerse does not control outages, rule changes, or moderation decisions on external grids.
You are responsible for complying with the terms of the grid on which you use your avatar and for keeping secure any credentials required by those providers.
11. Dispute Resolution
We invite you to contact us first at legal@zonenations.com to seek an amicable resolution of any dispute. European Union consumers may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform where applicable. United Kingdom consumers may also refer eligible disputes to approved alternative dispute resolution schemes where available.
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the parties submit to the courts of the consumer's place of residence, or for non-consumer users, to the courts of Italy, in accordance with the applicable law clause below.
12. Changes, Governing Law, and Contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be published on this page with a new date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, unless the law requires additional consent.
Legal contact: legal@zonenations.com. Governing law: the laws of Italy and applicable European Union law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
